*** Update of
Maddy's Diagnostic testing ****
From Maddy's Mom this morning: "madisons test results: Okay its been a long time waiting for the results. The test showed the end of her colon having no function. There is nothing we can do for that, just have to wait another 3-4 years for it to correct itself. She will be flying back to Boston in 2 weeks for corrective surgery which should alleviate some of the pain. Thank you everyone for praying and keeping her in your thoughts and for all your donations! We couldn't have done it without your help! Thank you!
Maddy's Story: Madison is a fun imaginative 6 yr old girl who is suffering from a rare intestinal disorder since birth, but the past two years have been the worst for her. She recently underwent surgery to improve her quality of life called an appendicostomy. Two weeks after her surgery she went back in for an x ray. The x ray showed she was again fully compacted and needed to be admitted for a clean out. From that point on she has been admitted every 2 weeks for more clean outs and weekly changes of medicine. She is currently hooked up to a machine at night through her button that pumps in 1 liter of medicine and on the 4th day she is on 4 liters for 24hrs.
Madison is unable to live a life of a "typical child" she can not ride her bike, go for long walks or even birthday parties that have bounce house activities.
She is being sent to Boston for a diagnostic exam that is only offered in two states nationwide. Unfortunately her Insurance will not cover the cost of this trip or medical expenses. The whole cost will be $25,000.00, please help make this possible to help find a cure for Madison.
Through local fundraisers and mailed donations we are thrilled and so thankful to be able to add $5,000 to the amount donated here online!!
