Tucker is an 11 year old diagnosed with a high risk Acute Lymophoblastic Leukemia with T(17:19) translocation on March 26th, 2010.  Tucker's form of ALL is rare with only 1 in 100 cases. It is resistant to treatment and requires frequent hospital stays and clinic visits.

Jen is a single mother and primary caregriver to Tucker and his older brother Brady. Due to the intensive treatment plan, her ability to work is limited.  Your generous donations will be used to relieve her of the burdon and worry of monthly bills and rent so that she can concentrate on taking care of Tucker.  It will also be used to pay for uninsured medical expenses and equipment to make life a little easier on Tucker.  A personal wheelchair and wagon are some of the immediate needs.

Before he got sick Tucker loved to skateboard and ride his bike. He is a quick witted little boy with a giving heart. This year he had to spend his 11th birthday in the hopital. He got so many gifts for his birthday sent to the hospital that he passed a toy out to each child that was inpaitient with him at Doernbechers. He loved doing it so much that he decided that he wanted to have a charity someday that delivered toys to inpatient kids with cancer. He wants to call it Tucker's Toy Box.

The name Team Tucker was created by his 5th grade class.  They designed the orange Team Tucker - Never Give Up shirt and all signed it. The whole school counted down the last few days of school by assigning a letter to each day left.  On "T" day many of the kids and teachers wore their Team Tucker shirts to show support for their classmate and friend. Tucker surprised them all by showing up that day to read the school announcements. It was the second visit he had made to the school since springbreak when he was diagnosed.  Tucker suprised them again when he made it to the 5th grade completion ceremony.   Tucker worked hard to complete his 5th grade. His mom home schooled him and he often did school work in the hospital too.

Tucker's Make a Wish request is to go to Lego Land.  His trip should be in January 2011.  A portion of your donations will be go towards making this trip an extra special memory for him and his family as they all go through this life changing diagnosis.
