This is the John Bosco Kahuma Kidney Transplant Fund. Donations will be used for his medical and related expenses. Please show solidarity

John Bosco Kahuma developed hypertension a few years ago and for a long time, doctors thought he had a heart problem. Recent tests revealed that he had a chronic kidney failure. His kidney was performing only five per cent of its function, and he needs an urgent kidney transplant. The father of three used to undergo dialysis on a daily basis, but because his finances have been exhausted, he can now only afford a 5 hour dialysis three times in a week.

From The Fund raising organizer(Juliana Amal):
"John's condition holds a very special place in my heart. Eight months ago, I was hospitalized for a kidney infection, which according to the doctors was not bad because it was treatable with very strong antibiotics. I am now okay and it is good to feel healthy again. However, at that time,I felt totally helpless for the several days I lay in the hospital bed without the ability to feed myself, dress up, turn to the other side of the bed on my own or even smile back at whoever visited me in my hospital bed. I cannot imagine how much pain any patient that has a kidney infection, let alone a chronic kidney disease worse than what I experienced, goes through. When I read John's story on, it took me back to the pain I had experienced months ago, it just reminded me of all the pain once again, and I found an instant connection with his situation. I was compelled to start this fundraising campaign and I have so much hope that John will get a kidney transplant soon.

I will not stop at John Bosco Kahuma, but I want all people in the world with Kidney related sicknesses to know that I carry them in my thoughts, and I will stand with them, because I have been there. Nobody should be there, and whoever is there should be supported to get out of there, at least while it is still possible.

100% of your donations will go into facilitating him to have a kidney transplant either in the USA or in India, which he needs more than anything right now, and also take care of related expenses. Do not worry about John being in Uganda or a Ugandan, humanity knows no country, nor race, nor ethnicity, neither does it understand a single language!

The top 50 donors will get a special 'Thank You" Post Card from Uganda, with John's post-kidney transplant picture featuring!!! Remember not to be anonymous when you donate if you like to be acknowledged.

You can also follow us on facebook. Look for "We Can Save John Bosco Kahuma's Life' facebook group where you will also get updates about John's progress and you will soon be hearing from him after the kidney transplant!

Thank you for your solidarity and warm thoughts.
