Charlene's friends and family are uniting to raise money for her lifelong battle against this painful, persistent, and progressive disease.

In April 2012, Charlene, or Char as we like to call her, was diagnosed with ADHESIVE ARACHNOIDITIS (a neurological disease).

Adhesive Arachnoiditis causes severe pain throughout her entire body, and the pain WILL NEVER GO AWAY; HOWEVER, we are praying and BELIEVING for a full, Mighty, Miraculous HEALING!

As a result of her diagnose and painful symptoms her employer let her go.

Since the loss of her job, she has been approved for disability; however, her monthly disability payment is not nearly enough to help cover her COBRA payments, medical expenses, and all necessary medications.

She lives in nonstop, constant excruciating pain, 24/7.  At times, she finds her body shaking so much that she is unable to feed herself.

We, as her family and friends, are doing our best as far as getting her the equipment, medicine, special doctors, etc. that she needs, but it is a struggle. This fund raiser was started in hopes of collecting enough donations so we can afford to find and get her the BEST possible care, wheelchair, pain medications, copays for doctors visits, etc.  We would love to see her sit/stand/walk/or even lie down without pain (something you and I take for granted).

Here are details and even links relating to the disease directly.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

And just remember ~ Every little bit helps . . . thanks guys! (and gals!) ~ BLESSINGS TO YOU ALL!

I hope you will find it in your hearts to help her cause, as she is suffering minute-by-minute, and day after day after day--with no relief in sight.

FROM WebMD:

Arachnoiditis is a pain disorder caused by the inflammation of the arachnoid, one of the membranes that surround and protect the nerves of the spinal cord. It is characterized by severe stinging, "burning pain," and neurological problems.

THERE IS NO CURE for arachnoiditis. Treatment options for arachnoiditis are similar to those for other chronic pain conditions. Most treatments focus on relieving pain and improving symptoms that impair daily activities. Often, health care professionals recommend a program of pain management, physiotherapy, exercise, and psychotherapy. Surgery for arachnoiditis is controversial because outcomes can be poor and provide only short-term relief.
