Melissa Estefanía Salinas Prosthetic Fund
This fund was created to help raise money for Melissa in El Salvador. Our hopes are to help her walk again by the use of a prosthetic leg.
Melissa Estefania Salinas Pleitez is one of two sisters raised by a single mother in El Congo, Santa Ana, El Salvador. On August, 11, 2013 a vehicle race ended in tragedy after one of its participants left the road running over at least four people, including 13 year old Melissa Estefania who was in a coma, and lost one of her legs due to the severity of multiple fractures. Unfortunately for her family, there are limited options available for medical assistance. Her story came to us from a family friend who lives here in Boston, MA. Our business Boston Barstool plus contract seating has taken initiative to help raise money for Estefania and her family to cover medical expenses. Our goal is to raise $15,000 for a prosthetic leg to help her regain ability to walk again. Please join our efforts to help this young girl and her family during this hard time.
