July 2nd at 11:30 am our beloved father Randy lost his battle with Pancreatic cancer, we were all with him. We love you DAD!!!!

I started this fundraiser to help my dad pay all his medical bills while he was sick so he didn't have to have any worries and he could just focus on getting better. Sadly the next day he passed away. Although we knew the day would come that we lost him we were all shocked that it happened so sudden and quickly. It gives us all comfort that he didn't have to suffer and that in the end he truly only had 3 really bad days. Those three days were hard for both my dad and I but being there for him and with him, sleeping next to him, just sitting with him and holding his hand brought us closer together and thats another comfort. He knew I loved him and I know he loved me and my other siblings.
Unfortunately we still have mounting doctor bills and now a funeral to plan. So we will continue the fundraiser and know that all your donations and kind words are greatly appreciated and words cannot express how blessed we are to have such wonderful people in our lives.

Below is the story of dads struggle with his cancer as I wrote it the day I started the fundraiser. I love you dad, you are with me all day, everyday and I see you in Morgan (my daughter) She is the next generation of "Randy"

Our Dad, Randy was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer on March 30 2012. He knew for awhile something wasn't right with his health and visited four different doctors before they diagnosed his problem.
Randy is the father of 4 children, Cody, Melissa, Myranda and Jimmy and a grandpa to 3 grandchildren Jevyn & Caden (Cody's children) and Morgan (Melissa's daughter) who love him very much and would do anything for him. He has always taken care of his family and been there for his kids. Now it is our turn to take care of him.
After a few rounds of chemo it was discovered that the chemo was doing nothing to shrink the tumors and was decided that further chemo wouldn't be much help. So dad sadly accepted that nothing else could be done. All of his kids and his loved ones were devastated but we accepted and came to terms with what Dad wanted.
It wasn't long after his diagnoses that he was not able to work anymore. So he hasn't been bringing in any income since April. So we are at the point where we need help to pay his expenses. He does have health insurance but we still need to keep up on that plus other expenses not covered by insurance.
In mid June Dad could no longer live on his own so he came to live with me (his daughter Melissa) and my family. The move approached way faster then any of us expected but my husband and I were prepared to take my dad into our home. A "funny" story from when I was about 8 years old I was talking to my dad, and he commented something like "I wouldn't want to be put in a nursing home and have strangers take care of me" so I promised him that day that I would take care of him when he was old and needed help. I stayed true to my word and took my dad into my home and I am taking care of him with the help of my siblings, husband, daughter and other family members. The saddest thing is that my dad is not even old, he is only 58 and should have many more years of life left.
Things have changes so fast that we are now with hospice care. The nurse comes to our house once a week to check on him. He was doing okay until June 29th and then he lost his ability to walk on his own. This frightened him as well as all his kids. But we are all here for him and making him as comfortable as we can. We are not sure how much longer our dad will be with us so we are all cherishing the time we have.
We all thank you from the depths of our hearts for any help you can give us in our time of need.
On top of medical bills we also know that we will have funeral expenses at some point in the near future.
Again thank you to everyone that can help us. Please feel free to share this story with your friends and family.
God bless all people affected by cancer and I pray for a cure for all cancers.
