Pray for Ale...

Until just a few weeks ago, Alejandra Alvarez (Ale) was a normal 13-year-old girl from Mexico enjoying her summer vacation… she loved staying with her godparents in Spokane for the summer as she does every year to relax and practice her English. On the morning of July 28, 2011, Ale woke up as a healthy 13-year-old girl…along with her little cousins; they all proceeded to get ready for the exciting day ahead of them at the local theme park, Silverwood. Sadly, once at Silverwood, Ale collapsed shortly after going through the newly opened attraction called Ricochet Rapids. Ale was subsequently rushed to the ER in Coeur d’Alene, ID, flown via Helicopter and eventually admitted to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA under the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Ale suffered from a ruptured Arteriovenous malformation (AVM) in her brain and in addition developed Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Ale is a fighter and since being admitted to the ICU, she has successfully undergone an Embolization and surgery to remove the AVM in her left Cerebellum.

As Ale is from Mexico... international insurance will only cover a very small percentage of the unknown cost of medical care. If possible, please make a donation to help Ale and her family get through this very difficult time.

All prayers, donations or assistance in any form is very much appreciated.
