This is Simtty's Heart site. The funds will be used to pay for Steve's medical bills and financial expenses. We appreciate the support.

Steve has worked for 40 years of his life, never been unemployed, and had no risk factors. He has always been healthy, lifted weights, played sports so all of this came as quite a surprise on April 9, 2012, when Steve went for a routine stress test and the news was not good.
He was transported via ambulance to the closest heart hospital in our area, Christ Hospital. On Wednesday, April 11, 2012, he underwent 5-bypass surgery. Otherwise healthy his outlook was good. Over the course of the next 8 weeks Steve worked toward recovery. His past experience and dedication pushed him to work hard to regain his health and get back to work.
Steve suffers from a disease called cardiofvascular and small vascular disease which is genetic. He will have to be monitored closely to ensure his stints and vessels stay open to feed blood to his heart. His entire lifestyle has been impacted.
Steve changed jobs in November 2011 to reduce his stress level. The irony is he lost 1/2 year of sick pay not realizing he would need it. At his current position he has no sick time and is on disability. The checks are few and far between and Steve has been living on a very limited income. He has tapped into his retirement account to make ends meet.
On June 4, 2012, Steve was released back to work part-time. Still feeling jaw pain he went back to the doctor only to be scheduled for another stress test and another heart surgery. It was found that all 5 bypasses had failed. He had a stint placed in the main artery to the heart with the doctor informing him that he would have to undergo numerous surgeries in the future. On July 17, 2012, Steve received his second stint. He is back to work part time but this 6 month struggle has hit the family hard financially.
Changing jobs in November already reduced Steve’s income but now with the medical restraints his income is a mere fraction of what he used to receive. The other part of this story is before Steve knew he was going to experience such a medical trauma, he tore the family room of the house apart in preparation to renovate the family room. Right now the family room is a mere construction site … and the kitchen is not even ½ way complete. Since Steve cannot perform the work himself and no funds to buy the necessities to finish the project, there is no date in site for the house to be restored.
At this time, Steve and his wife are struggling and are in hopes that if you feel led you will donate to "Smitty's Heart". We fear what the future holds but have faith that the necessary funds will come.
We pray that for we will be helped and that one day we will be in a position to give back more that we request at this time. God bless.
