Lisa has a form of an Anaerobic Infection in her mouth, that has now traveled to her stomach. Any donation made will go to her surgery.
Lisa Monroe is in need of a surgical procedure to remove the infection in her mouth and stomach. This treatment is necessary immediately before the infection travels to her bones and other internal organs. For 10 years we all have been striving to conquer the debilitating effects of the illnesses and diseases, she has being heavily carrying. Throughout these years we have all banded together to get her on disability to no avail.
On April 16th of 2004, (her 40th birthday) Lisa was diagnosed with Crohn's, which is a type of inflammatory bowel disease that affects any part of the gastrointestinal tract. The symptoms are often times very painful and require much attention. This disease alone has caused her to be hospitalized on average at least 2 times per month. Along with Crohn's she was also diagnosed with Grave's Disease and Fahr's, that have produced calcium deposits in her brain. Fahr's is something that is very closely related to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s combined. It has had the most devastating effects on her mind and her ability to just do what most of us see as the simplest activities in life. Pouring herself something to drink, getting herself in her own bed etc. It has also caused her to have countless episodes of Grand Mal seizures. All of these sicknesses combined have made her immune system extremely fragile, which is why we are all in this situation together. They have consequently caused most of her teeth to rot, and/or fall out. She has lost much needed weight and can very rarely process and keep any nutrients in her system. She has had multiple night stays for blockages in her digestive tract that has in turn caused her to have surgeries to remove over 16 inches of her intestines. This infection has been a huge factor in speeding up all of these symptoms, which is why as a family we are asking for support to get through this tribulation.
My mother would never ask for help for her own wellbeing in any circumstance, because she is selfless, giving, and is always concerned for everyone aside from herself. Our family cannot stand to see her suffer through these horrors any more than she already has. We would be eternally grateful to any and all donations, however big or small. Like I said, she would never ask and we would never want to burden others with this, but she needs this surgical procedure quickly, and we have to try everything within our powers to help her. To beat this, so she can get another chance in having a beautiful life with her children again, who have been cheated out of having a mother who can do all of the things we take for granted.
In hopes to one morning wakeup and feel all of the pain diminish, she spends half of her time in bed exhausted from the pain, and the other half in the hospital trying to get relief from it all. Neither of those options are something she takes willingly. Lisa is a fighter and we are her soldiers. So, we ask you all to be soldiers for her and her children, so that she has a larger army to fight and triumph over this.
With many thanks and immense love, thank you.
