Emma the dog's family is trying to raise money to pay for surgery needed to amputate a damaged and severely infected toe on her back paw.

My dog, Emma, has developed a neurological problem that causes discomfort in her back paws, leading her to bite at them. In February 2012, she had a toe on her left paw amputated because of the damage she did to it. In May, she began attacking the right paw and has caused considerable damage. The paw is also severely infected and is not responding to antibiotics. She needs another amputation to remove the damaged toe and eradicate the infection which, if left unchecked, could cause her to become septic and die. I recently lost my job and can't afford Emma's surgery, although I have been keeping up with her other medical bills. If she has the surgery, her vet thinks she will have a chance at a normal life. Please help me help Emma. She is a sweet dog, a good dog, and Chris and I would do anything to save her from a premature and totally preventable death. Every little bit counts and I would love to have your support in any way, shape, or form.
