Joey is an energetic 4th grader at Crivitz Elementary School in Crivitz, Wisconsin who loves sports and his family. After a few weeks of just not feeling good doctors did an MRI and discovered a tumor in the middle of Joey's brain. He was sent to Children's Hospital in Milwaukee where he stayed for 12 days. During those 12 days he had two surgeries to relieve pressure on his brain. They also discovered a second tumor at the base of his spine. He came home on December 5th and will be starting treatment in Green Bay on December 8th. His treatment will last six weeks. During this time his mom will not be able to work and his dad has missed the last two weeks. As a start to helping his family we did a fundraiser at the Christmas concert on Dec. 5th and raised almost $3500.00. The village of Crivitz is small but has more heart than almost any place on earth. We are all working hard to help in any way we can. The number of prayers that Joey has received, and is continuing to receive, far outnumber the money raised so far. It is our goal to keep this family afloat while they support Joey in his battle.
