The family and friends of Charlie and Lorna are uniting to raise money to help with the medical expenses. Please show your support!

Charlie Porter was in an automobile accident on Saturday January 28th 2012. He was leaving work in Red Feather to get home to his family and lost control of his Bronco. Charlie was lucky to have multiple people that were immediately by his side at the time of the accident to give him timely lifesaving care. He was airlifted by Flight for Life to Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland Colorado. Charlie suffered many serious injuries. He had multiple fractures, damage to his lungs, and some question of brain damage. Charlie spent nearly 2 weeks in the ICU on a ventilator. He had surgery to repair his facial trauma. He is currently at PVH on the Life Skills unit where he continues to recover. His physical injuries are healing. He requires multiple hours of direct patient care from his Doctors, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Recreational Therapy. The brain damage continues to be immeasurable at this time, but it is clear that Charlie will need continued rehabilitation.

Charlie is a husband and father to 2 wonderful children. He is currently not able to work and Lorna his supportive loving wife is spending all of her time by Charlie's bedside. He is in a critical time of healing and regaining his level of functioning which is yet to be determined. Charlie and Lorna have no health insurance. Charlie continues to fight for his way of life and health; meanwhile the medical bills are mounting. It is our hope to be able help lessen this burden for Charlie and Lorna. Thank you all for your donations, support and most importantly your positive thoughts. We do believe in miracles and we hope for one each day.
