John C. Howe is a 1978 graduate of MHS. He is currently in hospice and is rapidly declining.

John is my best friend in the entire world. He would give his life for those he loved, and would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. He is kind, loving, caring, and funny. John loves to fish and hunt. He loves football and his favorite teams are the Ravens and the Patriots. He loves to mess with Steelers fans, although he is in such bad shape that he actually said he was happy that the Steelers won on Monday night:-( He has four grown children and five grandchildren with one on the way. He will be sadly missed very soon. I am heart broken and very torn up watching him as he worsens and worsens every single day here in hospice. Many of you are friends of John's or friends of mine (Kim McDaniel). I would like to ask that you help with John's final expenses. John is on SSI and will not be receiving any funding/payments to help with burial costs. Please...I need your help...John needs our help. His twin brother Bob wants to see him have one day of visitation, a church service, and have his ashes scattered into the Maumee River where John used to fish at his favorite spot that he called "the sewer". If we can raise enough, John has expressed that he would much rather be buried, but understands the high cost in doing that. We will have a small gathering for family/friends to remember and honor John as well, although where that will be held is not yet known. I ask that you please have it in your heart to help in this dire time of need. I know that Bob and I appreciate anything whatsoever that is affordable to matter how small, we love you all. Bill, John's older brother is very thankful as well. John's mother, father, and older sister have all passed before him. John also just lost two of his step-brothers to cancer in the past year as well. John is a faithful Christian and asks for your prayers and well wishes as well. We love you and thank you all. Peace and love....
