After 30 years of marriage loosing their entire home one December day with four young children at home and battling their youngest daughters leukemia diagnosis John and Kim Workman thought they had just about gone through it all, now with their kids raised and grandchildren around to spoil they were ready for some peace of mind and a slow steady pace of life. Well that dream was on the horizon until at 1:00 pm on Friday October 5,2012 they got a phone call and their world changed. It was the local Sheriff's Department informing them they're home was on fire. As they rushed to the home they prayed that their beloved fur babies Capone, Bella, Chloe, Fred and CJ would be alright and had made it out. As they rounded the corner in their neighborhood they were met by a firefighter the first question they asked was "did the animals make it out?" The firefighter dropped his head and said we could only save the little one. CJ their three legged rat terrier was the only one they could save. The four bigger dogs all brothers and sisters had not survived. Overcome with pure grief for their beloved dogs they didn't care about anything else, the house and its contents could be replaced but their poor babies could not. After the initial shock wore off and the couples two sons and neighbors dug a large enough hole in the backyard to bury the fur babies side by side so they could rest eternally together as they had rested, played, lived and loved together in life. Now with no insurance the Workman's along with their youngest daughter and two sons are left with no home and no belongings. Please help this family who has already lost so much start to rebuild.
