Addy's Wish for Wheels
This is the Addy's Wish for Wheels Fund. The funds will be used to modify Addy's van with the latest and greatest accessible equipment!
Addison (Addy) Mackenzie Gile was born along with her twin brother, Riley Parker, on November 9, 2007. They were delivered at only 24 weeks and 6 days due to placental abruption and low amniotic fluid. Riley passed away after four short hours. Addy went on to spend 196 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Chicago's Children's Memorial Hospital where she underwent eight surgeries before she was six months old.
Today, Addy is a happy four year old who enjoys art, music, reading books, going to preschool, watching Disney movies and spending time with her family and friends. As a result of Addy's extreme prematurity, she has been diagnosed with spastic quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and is wheelchair bound. This doesn't stop Addy from enjoying all that life has to offer her! She is always on the go and ready to show everyone that just because she's in a wheelchair, she's just like other four year olds.
Addy's parents currently put Addy in a car seat and place her wheelchair in the back of their van. The goal of this fundraiser is to cover the entire cost of modifying their van.
Every little bit counts!
