Family and friends of Tina Davis are uniting to raise money to help with her battle against breast cancer. Please show your support!

This is funder-raiser is for my Mom, Tina Davis. She is beautiful, she is strong, she is courageous, and she is my role model & hero. Mom was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in October of 2010. She followed her doctor’s advice, and began her fight against cancer following conventional medicine. She began painful chemo-therapy treatments, and by February of 2011, was told that chemo was not shrinking the tumor in her breast, and surgery was her next option. Summer 2011, Mom was declared cancer free after a 13hr surgery. She went home to recover, and begin a new cancer free chapter in her life. By the end of the summer, our family was tragically affected by cancer again, this time; it was David, her husband, my step-father. Dave was taken from us quickly, and by September 2011, Mom lost her best friend and husband to lung cancer. Mom has been amazing through this painful year of recovering from chemo, surgery and loosing Dave. In her grief, Mom has still been the supportive mother, sister, aunt and friend to her family and loved ones. She has continued to tell us every day how blessed and thankful she is, despite everything that has happened these last two years. I have never known another person who, in the face of adversity, always sees it as an opportunity to learn and become a better human being. Early this summer, 2012, Mom started having problems with her lymph nodes swelling in her neck. Several ER visits, ct scans, blood tests, and ultrasounds later the Dr's told us they were scratching their heads and couldn't figure out what was wrong. They offered no solution to the swelling and discomfort, and continued to run more invasive tests. Early, this month, October 2012, Mom received a dreaded phone call from her doctor, telling us, that she has breast cancer again. They have informed us that it's stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and has entered her lymphatic system. The options he presented to her we various types of chemo to slow down the spread of cancer, as surgery and radiation are no longer an option. Mom is a fighter. She is my HERO! After asking the Dr. several questions about why the cancer was moving into her neck, and in a way they said “cancer doesn’t move”, the Dr. told her yet again, "Tina, you're an unusual case. We're still scratching our heads..." Mom's response to that was, "Well, I’m an unusual person. Imagine hard all the Dr.'s will be scratching when I'm cured." Understanding that conventional treatments have not been successful, we have done extensive research on alternative treatments and have agreed that the best and most positive option is the Gerson Institute and Cancer Curing Society in Mexico. ( "The Gerson Institute is a non-profit organization... dedicated to providing education and training in the Gerson Therapy, an alternative, non-toxic treatment for cancer and other chronic degenerative diseases. The Gerson Therapy is a safe, natural treatment developed by Dr. Max Gerson in the 1920s. The therapy activates the body's extraordinary ability to heal itself through an organic, vegetarian diet, raw juices, coffee enemas and natural supplements. The Gerson Therapy treats the underlying causes of disease: toxicity and nutritional deficiency. " Through this fundraiser, we are hoping to raise money to help with the cost of sending Mom, Tina Davis, to The Gerson Institute to begin her healing journey. We appreciate any amount - no gift is too small! Mom, trusted health advisors and all of our family, strongly believe that through a non-toxic approach, she will be cured of cancer and continue to live a long and healthy life. Mom’s mission is not complete on this earth, and we know that. We believe and trust she will be healed.
