This is the Sidney Kidney Stone operation fund. The funds will be used for the medical costs for Sid's surgery. We thank you. God Bless!

Sidney is a Yorkshire Terrier that is about 8 year old and I found him in a Safeway parking lot in Colorado Springs, Co. He was a mess, bless his little heart, a dirty tangled sweet little mess. I put up notices in the Safeway store that I had found him and how to contact me. In the meantime, I took him to the Pikes Peak Region Humane Society and they found that he had a microchip. I was allowed to take care of Sidney while they tried to locate his family. Well, it turns out that his family was from out of state and had not kept up their information, and there was no way to find them. So Sid and I became a family. We had so many wonderful times hiking in the mountains, making new friends, visiting the dog parks and he was a friend to many of my friends as well. Then, January 16, 2007 and arson fire was set in the apartments we lived(http://www.fireengineering.com/articles/print/volume-162/issue-12/features/castle-west-apartment.html, which burned to the ground , left 500 people homeless in below freezing temps and 2 people deceased. We were left without a permanent home for almost 11 months. But we got it together, got our own place and life was great again. Then in October 2010, I lost my job and was forced into early retirement, as being a a senior citizen it is very difficult to find work these days. Soo we moved back to my home state of Texas, got our own place again. Sid made lots of friends with the other seniors that live in our "Apts for low income Ederly". He has to make his rounds everyday to see everyone and they love his visits. But now Sid needs help. He has become very ill with kidney stones (just to make his diagnosis in simple terms) and can hardly relieve himself. The vet needs an Unltrasound (about $300) and the surgery would be about another $2,500.00 to remove the stones. I am living on $857 Social Security per month, so that kind of money is not even conceivable on my small budget. Sid needs your help. I know Sid will have a long and healthly life and we both will be ever so grateful for any help we received. God bless!!
