Help me help children in the 2nd largest slum in Africa

I have been researching the situation in Uganda and a number of other African countries regarding child refugees who have escaped from or are trying to hide out from militant groups. As I will soon be a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, I have been looking for opportunities to help these children as such. I could not find any places specifically helping these children, but I did find a position availalable at a children's clinic in Kibera, the 2nd largest slum in Africa, which is in Kenya, a country which neighbors Uganda. According to one site, there are over 50,000 aids orphans who live there. When I contacted the head of this clinic he was very excited that I was willing to come and volunteer as a PTA. However, when I realized the cost of the plane tickets and the cost I must pay my host family for food and utilities (80 to 100 dollars a week), I realized I would not be able to come. When I told him this, he was very disappointed and asked if there was any way I could come, and I told him that I would try to raise the money. So my plan is to take temporary positions as a PTA until I am able to raise the money to go there and help. Please help me if you can, or even if you have any ideas about how I could raise the money I need (about 2,000 for a plane ticket there as well as the 80 to 100 dollars per week to stay there).
