Alcoholism, Gambling, Prostitution and Drug Trafficking are the main problems in el Alto Napo, Ecuador's Amazon Region. This fundraising will help me get the resources to build a Church in the Community of Agua Santa (Holly Water).

Friends,

I am starting a new venture to help local communities in the Amazon Rainforest of Ecuador. In a past meeting with the Executive Director of “YACHANA,” the nonprofit that I am working with, I learned about the rampant alcoholism, gambling, prostitution and drug trafficking that occurs in this area of the world.

We are embarking on a venture to help pull these local communities out of poverty. But our fear is that even a succseful development project, that increases the income of these families could further contribute to the problems, rather than help alleviate the poverty.

The gravity of this issue led me to search for ways to help these people. I was doing my daily reading and prayers last week, and I asked our Lord to help me find ways to help alleviate these issues. Suddenly, I received a concise message in my heart: Cristian, go and build me a House.  A community that knows and follows our Lord will work to erradicate negative activities that will put in danger their Faith. As I write this letter, I can tell you that my heart beats so strong in our Lord’s Faith and I am confident that we will be able to succeed.

I am planning to go down to Ecuador on June 24 for two weeks. MY GOAL is to work with the local communities to build a Church for our Lord, in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Please consider donating money to fund the construction of this Church.

The funds you provide will help with the following expenses:
- 100 Bibles in Spanish
- Fuel for a canoe to transport leaders from 20 neighboring communities
- Materials for a Church

Thank you for your willingness to help with this cause.

Don't forget to share this with a friend or a family member

May our Lord bless you and your families.

Cristian Proano
