Family and friends of Susan Lee are uniting to raise money to help with her battle against breast cancer. Please show your support!
She thought turning 50 this year would be her biggest challenge, but in February 2012, Susan discovered a lump in her left breast. A month later, a series of mammograms and a biopsy confirmed she has a form of breast cancer called Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.
There is never a good time for anyone to be diagnosed with cancer, but this diagnosis comes at an especially difficult financial period in Susan's life. Over the past couple years, she has been reliant on several part-time jobs to cover her basic expenses, such as rent, utilities, and groceries.
Susan hasn't been able to afford health insurance, but MediCal's program for uninsured breast cancer patients will help cover her surgical and medical costs as she goes through treatment. However over the next few months, Susan will not be able to work regularly and earn enough to pay her basic expenses, like rent, utilities, groceries, and transportation to and from doctors' appointments and procedures. Please help us assist with her daily living expenses so she can focus her energy and strength on conquering breast cancer and getting well.
There are a few different ways you can help:
1. Donate to Susan's fund through this GiveForward website.
2. Forward this fundraiser to everyone you know.
Any amount you can give will help ease the burden that Susan is facing right now. Please know that Susan is forever grateful for your help and contributions as she battles against breast cancer.
