Bob Truss Galatians 6:2 Project is to help defray chemotherapy and other costs from Bob's leukemia and lymphoma.

** This is Part 2 of the Bob Truss Galatians 6:2 Project's fundraiser.  Since the conclusion of the original fundraiser a few weeks ago, we have had inquiries from some folks who are still interested in donating.  Thank you for your continued concern and support.  Although Bob still has a long road ahead, God has been working wonders in meeting this need.**  Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. --Galatians 6:2 His grandkids know him as "Daddy Bob" and "Papa Bob." His brothers and sisters in Christ know him as a man who seeks the will of God. And his fellow members at the Church on Rush Creek know him as the thin guy in the center of the choir who sings his heart out during all three services every Sunday morning. But Bob Truss and his wife, Rush Creek MOPS mentor Pat Truss, are facing some serious challenges these days. A few months ago, Bob was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), a type of cancer that affects his white blood cells. Just a couple of weeks ago, doctors discovered that Bob has developed, as a result of the same disease process, lymphocytic lymphoma. The chemotherapy he needs is prohibitively expensive, especially since Bob and Pat do not have medical insurance. Bob will need to pay cash in advance of each of the six treatments he will be taking, beginning on or about June 17, 2010 and repeating every 21 days. Along with the thousands of dollars required for the chemo itself, Bob will need additional funds for office visits, CT scans, pharmaceuticals, and myriad other medical expenses, some foreseeable and some that are probably not. Some of Pat's friends from the Rush Creek Ladies' Bible Study have initiated the Bob Truss Galatians 6:2 Project, this online fundraiser designed to help defray the Truss' exorbitant medical bills. Money raised by the Project will be deposited into a special account at Wells Fargo Bank that has been set up exclusively for the benefit of Bob and Pat. Funds will go directly toward paying Bob's patient account at Arlington Cancer Center, his pharmacies and other care providers, and ongoing living expenses that Bob and Pat may incur. The Trusses will be deeply appreciative of any amount that you feel led to give, and they are grateful, most of all, for your continued prayer. Thank you very much.
