The Prayers for Zac family are coming together to raise funds to help pay for his medical bills, medicine, and impending funeral.

In October 2010, our son who was then 5 months old, was diagnosed with a Pylocytic Astrocytoma located on his hypothalamus. The tumor and the ensuing pressure took his vision and the trauma to the brain gave him a mini stroke. His hypothalamus, as well as his pituitary gland have both been affected and he suffers from many deficiencies due to this. He had 8 surgeries since then, as well as 13 months of chemo. Despite it all, he has maintained an amazing spirit for life and strength that is above amazing. He is always laughing, smiling, and "talking" away. Recently, he developed Epilepsy. He has been on so many different seizure meds that we can't hardly keep track of them all. He currently is on 4 to try and control his seizures. Unfortunately, none of the meds have worked and due to the damage and the fact that his seizures are coming from several different areas of the brain and are of several different varieties, his seizures are now no longer treatable. Last month the decision was made to place Zac on hospice. This was an agonizing decision to say the least, as all we have known for the last two years was how to fight to save his life. He currently is on over a dozen meds a day. Unfortunately we were never able to obtain life insurance on him, as right after he was born 7 weeks prematurely, he had spent some time in the NICU. So by the time he was released from NICU and prior to his diagnosis, there wasn't enough allotted time for an insurance company to offer him life. So now we are faced with growing medical bills, costs of medications to keep him going, plus now the added costs of planning/paying for a funeral. So we have made the tough decision to ask for help. Every little bit will help with these things and would be very appreciated in this time. Thank everyone in advance for your generosity and most of all your prayers and thoughts.
