Friends and family of Kristy Daiga are uniting to raise money for a stem cell transplant to help with her battle against Myasthenia Gravis.

Wow THANKS to Dee Ann Grismore for raising $958 at her yard / bake sale this past weekend. I, Holly would like to beat this achievement in the last 10 days of August by getting 100 people to each donate $10 in raising at least $1000. This is a big goal but together we can do it. Lets get the word out and rise to the challenge to help Kristy! Also thanks to everyone who has donated and participated in fundraising efforts. Don't miss the Chili's fundraiser on October 5th at c470 and Kipling in Littleton, Colorado. Tickets are being sold for $25 a piece which include a menu of 7 different meals to choose from and chips and salsa. Join the party from either 5:00-6:00pm or 7:00-8:00pm. For information on how to purchase a ticket email deeannalg@hotmail.com or littlered522@hotmail.com.
Thank You to EVERYONE that has donated and helped spread the word about Kristy. We have raised 8% of our goal on this website and have had 2 very successful yard sales / bake sales. Thanks to Dee Anna Grismore for raising $958 at her yard / bake sale. Thanks to Kristy's family for raising over $600 at their yard / bake sale.
My Best Friend Kristy Daiga was diagnosed with a rare Autoimmune disease called Myasthenia Gravis in May of 2008 after many years of misdiagnosis from many doctors all over the state. This rare but debilitating disease affects all aspects of her life. This disease has caused her to be homebound for 3 1/2 years, with symptoms that affect her ability to walk, talk, and carry on with normal daily activities.
After numerous unsuccessful treatments including immunosuppressants, chemotherapies and surgery she has been told her only remaining option is a clinical trial in Chicago for a stem cell transplant.
Unable to work for the last 3 1/2 years she has been financially drained from past treatments with being uninsured due to losing her heath coverage with her loss of job. She has finally obtained Medicare which covers the transplant at 80%. However, Medicare will not cover the stem cell harvesting portion of the transplant at all. The hospital in Chicago requires a payment of $25.000 for the harvesting before the transplant can be scheduled. On top of that she has to cover travel to Chicago for her and her mother and pay for all accommodations during the 3 month procedure.
Kristy is a mother of a 16 yr old daughter. Her husband works hard everyday to pay for their living expenses and past due and current medical expenses.
However, without the help from her friends and family this transplant will not be possible.
Please anything helps!
All of your generous contributions, thoughts and prayers are deeply appreciated.
You may also send donations to peeknboo76@gmail.com using pay pal.
Thank you and god bless!
