Hayden is finally home!!!! His journey is not over...Thank you for yours prayers and support!!!!!!!

Hayden Donald Carr was born on August 18, 2011 and he has been through two serious operations in this short time.

The first to attach his esophagus that was not connected at birth; and the second for various complications. After some scarey days and nights he has finally made some real progress.

An O.T. is working with Hayden to get him to eat ( take his bottle) no easy task. He is having difficulty sucking and keeping his milk down. During this process he is also being weened off of his narcotics, which we have been told will most likely take at least a month or longer.

Hayden will have yet another operation to pull his stomach up and wrap around his esophagus to help ease his reflux that he will have for the rest of his life. They will also put in a g-button for feeding for the time being untill he can get enough from his bottles.

Surgery went well, and everything looked good, but through the night he had to be put back in the NICU, because of internal bleeding.

Hayden has been in step down twice and NICU 3 times so far. He was just put back into the NICU 10-31-11. This little guy just can't get a break. It is always something.

10-18-2011 was his 2 month birthday. Please say an extra prayer for him so he is not in the hospital for his 3 month birthday.

New issues with his gall bladder, hoping antibiotics will fix the problem, if not, he may have to have his gall bladder removed. Hayden is one tough little guy and he will get through this new issue. He is still in the NICU. God Bless our little guy!!!!

3 mo. birthday is here and we finally have some good news. He may be leaving Childrens next week to continue his healing journey at home. With fingers crossed and a lot of prayers we hope that he will have a good transition and all will go well. Prayers and support are still needed, he has a long journey ahead of him.

Hayden came home the day before Thanksgiving...what a wonderful day that was.

He is still hooked up to a feeding tube and chest monitor and will have many doctor visits and visits back to Childrens Hospital to meet with his surgerons. His life will be filled with many visits like these.

Hayden had his first Christmas at home with his daddy and mommy. He received a great gift...his heart monitor was removed!!!!!! Still has the feeding tube..but if all goes well he will have that removed soon as well. What a blessed Christmas was had by all.

Thank you for your support during these diffucult times.

Thank you and please keep Hayden and his family in your thoughts and prayers. God Bless You All.
