Please help me raise funds to help Jake to fight his cancer and be happy and pain free. Thank you for your support.

Jake is my sweet 10 year old male Golden Retriever the I got from rescue when he was 1 1/2 years old. He spent most of his life, until I got him, locked in a kennel and ignored. I have provided him with the best forever home I could. He was diagnosed with cancer and had a tumor removed back in February. The tumor has come back and has also spread to his lung. I have taken him to Cornell for treatment. While they can't totally cure him they can control the growth and spread of the disease. I have secured some financing, but with today's economy and cutbacks at work, it is straining my budget severely. I want to give Jake the best quality of life I can for as long as possible. He's a great dog with a laid back disposition and he loves kids. I hope to be able to give him the time and good health to enjoy his favorite activities. He started out life in a bad situation, I want to do what I can to see that he is happy the rest of his days.

UPDATE 6/17/11

Jake's cancer is responding better than expected to the treatment. The tumor has been reduced in size and these results are happening sooner than expected. We're hopeful the lung tumor is shrinking as well. His prognosis is good and he may even be able to make a full recovery. But we need financial help. The funds are almost depleted. Please help with just a few dollars. A small gift may be the difference needed to give Jake the full long life he deserves. Thanks.

Good news and bad news. The tumor in Jakes lung is
gone, the bad news is I'm out of funds to continue his treatment. The other tumor on his rear is now needing removed. Once that is done he needs follow up radiation. The tumor surgery is $3000 and the radiation is $2500. I only have $2000 left. I still need $3500. That would put me right at the $7000 that I thought this was going to cost. I can't borrow any more. Jake has been spared a painful death and now has a chance at a good long life. I can't do this alone. Please help Jake.
