Friends & Family joining to support DIANNA MOORE as she fights Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. PLEASE help us raise funds to assist her.

January 10, 2012 is a day we will never forget because it is the day Dianna was diagnosed with A.L.L. This form of Leukemia progresses quickly through a person’s system and treatment must be started immediately! Only an hour passed between the time Dianna’s blood tests were received at the Oncologist’s office and the time she was admitted to the hospital for immediate and intense chemotherapy. During the second month of her treatment, she suffered a Cerebral Venous Sinus Thromboses – a rare form of stroke- which was caused by one of the most important Chemo drugs used in the battle against A.L.L. This was shocking because Dianna is only 30 years old.

The treatment for Leukemia is a long process with many phases of Chemotherapy. Not only is she receiving Chemo at the infusion center, but she also travels to the hospital and/or doctor’s offices for tests and procedures. Combined into these trips, are excursions to Dana Farber Institute, in Boston, so she can meet with and undergo tests for a Doctor who is one of the experts on treating A.L.L. Dianna is fortunate to have the support and guidance of this exceptional resource.

Dianna is also working with speech and physical therapists to hopefully reverse the damage done by the stroke. The Neurologist and Oncologist are continually monitoring her medications so she can be treated with the aggressive combination of Chemotherapy and hopefully not suffer another stroke .

The number of trips to and from these appointments keeps her busy 2 to 4 days a week. The combined effects of these treatments leave her sick and exhausted, as well as emotionally and financially drained. We have banded together to bring her meals, visit, text and call her to keep her spirits elevated but we know that she is extremely stressed over her financial situation. The household bills, medical co-pays, travel expense and countless prescriptions have drained her checking and savings accounts. She has at least two more years of chemo treatment, but she is determined to get back to work late fall - when the treatments will be a bit less aggressive. By that time she is hoping the visits for treatment and tests will only be one day per week.

We are reaching out to family, friends and acquaintances to consider assisting Dianna as she struggles through this fianacially challenging time this summer, existing on just her disability pay to cover all of these mounting expenses.

Dianna is fighting this disease as hard as she can but she needs our help!

PLEASE remember Dianna with your prayers and send a donation to support her through this difficult time!
