My Giveforward page was set up to find help and support during my struggle with Lymphoma

The family and friends of James Galliford are uniting to raise money to help James in his battle with cancer. We desperately need help to pay outstanding medical bills that have reached over $34,000 so far and just keep coming. James story so far, James was laid off from his job in October of 2011 at the North Shore Physicians Group in Salem Ma. He had worked in the medical field for the past 16 years and just moved to Salem 3 years ago because of his work for Salem hospital. James became ill in January of 2012 but was uninsured at the time and therefore became sicker over several months. Things got so bad that a good friend (hi Erin) from his previous employer helped him get in to see a doctor in the ER. James was diagnosed with Large B cell Non Hodgkins Lymphoma as well as assorted cancers in his bones and spleen. After being denied treatment at Salem hospital his PCP Dr Levin helped him get admitted in a local hospital he worked at and virtually saved him. Unfortunately treatment was and still is extensive and James' unemployment insurance didnt pay for it. after several grueling months of phone calls James' only option was to stop receiving his unemployment compensation and claim "no income" in order to receive Medicaid benefits and be admitted to the Dana Farber cancer institute. Unfortunately by the time the insurance came through James had already accumulated over $34000 in hospital bills. Not only have the bills piled up but James was forced to give up his apartment and most of his belongings after losing his income. Social security has not helped in any way and it looks as though his disability claim will be denied as fortunately his cancer is responding to the chemotherapy. We hope that we can find some help out there and some way to help James until he is able to get back to work and get back on his feet somehow. Thank you for all your help and donations!!
