This is Tom's/Judy's Cancer Fund. The funds will be used for medical cost and related expenses not covered by insurance.

Tom and Judy Montgomery’s story. They are both disabled with cancer. Tom was diagnosed in September of 2010 with Lung Cancer. Judy was diagnosed in 2007 with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia for which there is no treatment till late stage as it is an incurable. Tom and Judy are currently on disability, unable to work.  While living in there home for 11 years they found  a very high level of radon as well as a large amounts of mold they also found in the basement both aspergillus and stachybotrys fungi. Recently Judy was referred to the book Surviving Mold written by Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker, which speaks of the devastating affects that the biotoxins from mold exposure have on the body. Dr. Harbor of Lexinton, VA who is currently treating Judy for Mold and Candida problems believes our exposure from the mold directly lead to both our cancers, mold is a mycotoxin.

Tom have spent this past June and a part of July in & out of the hospital 4 times because of complications the doctors believe is due to my cancer having spread. Tom and Judy have recently been re-exposed to mold and are both having overlapping disabling symptoms. We are interested in receiving immune boosting therapies here in Richmond and are still doing research into an alternative health clinics through Suzanne Somers’s book Knockout where we could get the best treatment that would suit our particular health conditions. Unfortunately Medicaid or Medicare doesn’t cover any alternative treatments, natural supplements or therapies. We feel conventional treatments would only further complicate our immune problems and disease processes.

Through their journey back to health & wellness we would like to spread the message that chronic illness from mold exposure affects up to 20% of the population. These symptoms range from cognitive problems to severe fatigue, respiratory, digestive problems, etc. Please go to Dr. Shoemakers’ website for more information.

We appreciate your support, Tom and Judy Montgomery and the Montgomery Family.

I do believe in miracles and pray for one each day.
