I had raised $3,925.00 in my last fundraiser. With your continued help and support I will be sure to reach my goal! Thank you!

In 1997 I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I was being treated for that for a couple years but I was still having pains in my joints and always getting sick. In 2001 I was lucky to have seen a specialist that knew what was wrong with me by the symptoms I was having. He then sent tests and the tests came back positive for Lupus. The doctor hard warned me that Lupus may attack my organs. So I went through Chemotherapy for about a year to control the Lupus. Going through Chemo was one of the worst experiences of my life. During that time I felt like I rather die then to go through chemo. After the treatment I was okay for a couple of years.

In October 2005, I was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease or kidney failure. The Lupus had finally shut down an organ. I have been on dialysis for 5 years now going on 6 this October. I thank GOD that there is dialysis to keep me alive. The only problem is that a real kidney works 24 hours a day 7 days a week and dialysis is only 3.5 hours a day 3 times a week, so even though the machine keeps me alive... I am slowly dying. With a new kidney I will be able to live my normal life.

During 2010 I was facing some heart conditions which required me to have a Defibrillator implanted in my chest, which was just done in April of this year. My cardiologist suggested that it be implanted if I am going to be getting a kidney transplant. So i had that first step done. Now I am off to the bigger challenge but I need help getting there. Getting a kidney transplant is very expensive. Unfortunately we do not have a transplant center in Guam so I will be living with my uncle in Nebraska. I have Medicare but I would still have to pay 20% out of pocket. I am asking for your prayers and any donation you could possibly give. I have been through so much in my life but I will not give up! With the help and support from you, my friends, and my family, I know that everything will work out!

**It is now June 23rd. I am here in Nebraska and just had my first dialysis treatment here at Davita South in Bellevue, NE. I love the faculty and staff that I had just met. I am so excited to get this process going. Thank you to all my family, friends, and friend of friends that is making this dream come true! I thank you all for your continued prayers and support! I LOVE YOU ALL!

If you have any questions or would like to talk to me please feel free to call or email me...

Thank you so much,
