My husband needs a heart transplant. He is disabled and I am a school bus driver. We are very much struggling with the costs of hisdoctor visits and medical needs. I need help where ever and who ever will help me with our hardship. Thank you Vicky

My husband is 47 years old and had a Kidney transplant 27 years ago with no rejection problems. For the past few years now he has been getting quite ill. We found out in January 2010 that only 10% of his heart is pumping. He needs a heart transplant. The anti-rejection medication he has been on for 29 years for his kidney transplant has taken a critical life threatening toll on his heart. He is disabled and I am school bus driver. We have medical insurance but does not cover much at all. I recently lost my second job and lost part of my position at my transportation dept. Our costs for medication and for the transplant are going to be devastating.Medical bills are building. He had surgery for the heart difibulator in June. We have been  together for 32 years, high school sweet hearts. Joe has a will to live and thats obvious for what he has already gone through. Please any donations at all will gladly be appreciated. His transplant is going to run approx .$780,000.00 and monthly medications around 5000.00 a month. After dating Joe a few weeks, he told me he was falling in love and I was in for a journey. Boy, he wasn't kidding. I have no regrets. He is very much loved by our 2 children and our grandaughtert Gwendalyn, her Papa, he is her world.  We have always had it hard and try always to deal with everything head on, but this one is overwelming financially, physically and emotionally. So we ask for your help, please. Each day is getting harder on him, retaining water, struggling to breathe and severe pressure and burning in his chest. If we don't come up with our co/pays he may not receive a heart. We have always been a good and honest couple who have fought disease for the past 32 years we've been together, but this is the worst and I'm so scared. Joe has suffered since he was 10 years old with kidney problems then they failed when he was 18 while enlisted in the US Marines, They say he's not a vet due to he was released on a honorable medical discharge and did not serve enough time in. At age 20 Joe received a Kideny Transplant. Very successful, 29 years later it's still going strong. The anti-rejection medication he takes has killed the muscle in his heart at age 47. The heart only pumps at 10%. He needs this surgery in order to live. I know it will be successful because he did so well with the kidney. I believe this with all my heart and knowledge. Financially we absolutley do not have any money. I make 13.00hr. and Joe receives SSI and that's it. So please we need your help, the costs are well over our heads. Joe and I, my children and grandaughter thank you for taking the time to read and possibly help us.
