I’m raising money for Mia’s back surgery so she can be pain free & continue to be able to walk. Please help!

My 5 year old Boston Terrier Mia has difficulty walking because the pressure from the malformed disks pinches her nerves, hindering the signals from her brain from reaching her feet. This causes her to drag all four of her feet, trip when she runs and is unstable when standing because her head doesn’t know where her feet are. In order to repair the malformed disks in her upper spine Mia needs surgery. She is currently on steroids to reduce the inflammation and I wrap her feet to keep them from getting scraped up but it is progressing and getting to the point she can not walk and often has to be carried. This surgery will allow her to play and be able to walk without pain for the rest of her long life! She is completely healthy and full of life other than the disks in her back. I am unable to afford the $7000 needed to perform the surgery as I have maxed out my credit cards to find out the diagnoses of her condition. Her vet does not accept payment plans and I am unable to get additional financial assistance due to the loss of my home because of a divorce. I am trying my best to raise the money by selling my belongings at garage sales, planning bake sales and as many other fundraising events as I can. I am also looking to take on a second job but I don’t foresee making enough money in the time frame that the surgery is needed. Her vet says she needs surgery as soon as possible before it worsens to the point where surgery will no longer help and her nerves have permanent damage. My sweet Mia used to love to wrestle with her brother and play tug-of-war with her sister and despite her condition she tries to be as active as she can even now. I can not bear to see her slowly become paralyzed when I know this surgery will cure her. Please help me give Mia the care she needs and the ability to continue to walk! NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL! PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU CAN!! PLEASE SHARE MIA'S STORY WITH YOUR FAMILY & FRIENDS! Thank you! Tracy Holland
