Family and friends are uniting to raise money to help with transportation cost to get Brittany to dialysis and any hospital visits.

My daughter Brittany Brown was born with a rare disease called Primary Hyperoxaluria. Basically her liver doesn't produce a enzyme that help break down certain substances within her body. As a result these substances built up inside her body, irreparably damaging both her kidneys. The only way to correct the problem is to transplant both the liver and kidney. On august 21, 2003 Brittany received a duel transplant. While the doctors never gave me a life span on Brittany I am fortunate to have her survive 9 years on her organs. Most recipients are lucky to survive 2 years, those who survive longer then 5 years are rare. She is a fighter to hold up for 9 years. I have always known the transplant wouldn't last forever but who thinks that far ahead. Today my fears are becoming a reality. Brittany's organs have failed, she needs another transplant. She was on the transplant list but they took her off because she is to weak to survive the surgery even if a donor is found. She can't get around without the use of a wheelchair. She is always in pain and has a tube from her liver that drains into a bag that must be emptied regularly. She has dialysis three times a week,
