Antonio Dowels's family and friends are uniting to help him pay for his new van's sale tax and law school needs. Please show your support!
If you are reading this, you most likely know a lot about me already! If don't know much about me, here's a small summary of my life in the past few years:
Seven years ago, I got into a car accident, which resulted in my paralysis, after falling asleep behind the wheel. In spite of my paralysis and physical ailments, I graduated from high school, attended and graduated from the University of Florida, and was accepted to St. Thomas School of Law in Miami. I try to give back to people as much as I can, either by inspiring them through telling my story, helping kids with their studies or feeding the homeless. If you would like to know more about me, please do a Google search to read articles and see videos about my story.
A few months ago, I entered a wheelchair van contest that was hosted by the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association. I - along with the help of family, friends, and supporters - ran a great, 2-month campaign, accumulation 25,000 votes. On May 30th, I was told that I was a winner of a new 2014 Toyota Sienna! I was awesome news, but reality set in once I realized that I had to pay about $3000 of sales tax on the van! I, nor my family, do not not have the money to pay for the sales tax. I also need raise money to get the things that I need for law school.
I wish that I could get a loan to get the things that I need, but I, nor anyone else that I know, don't qualify for it, so I need help from kind, generous people! Please help me reach my goal! This is essential to my success! I would like to thank you in advance for you kind heart! I truly appreciate anything that you are able to give! Please know that you giving will not be in vain! I will let nothing stop me from reaching my lofty goals and giving back to others!
