Family and friends are uniting to raise funds for a proper burial and memorial for committed family man.

Please help with funeral and memorial expenses.

Randy was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in October, 2006 at the age of 45. He has been unable to work since his initial diagnosis. He has fought a long hard battle against the cancer but his body has no more fight to give against the disease. He has had over 13 surgeries and has undergone numerous rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. He is currently in renal failure. Doctors have informed him there is nothing more they can do for him and have brought in Hospice to continue his comfort care. Doctors are indicating that he has a short amount of time left with us. Randy was unable to obtain life insurance due to his illness and we are trying to raise funds for his final resting expenses. He is the father of 5 children, Jeremy, David, Samantha,Logan and, Mitchell, 2 stepchildren Ranique and Dereck and grandfather of 3, Jasmine, Madison and CJ. Before illness struck him, he was very active in the community and spent many years coaching the youth in the community in tee ball, baseball and basketball. He worked as an autobody collision repairman for several large companies here in Columbus including 3-C body shop, Glassburns, Toyota Direct, and First Impressions to name just a few. He mentored and taught many young body technicians and has much patience. One of his greatest joys is to provide a positive influence on youth. He has always said once he beat the cancer he wanted to go into teaching and back to coaching.

Anyone who knows Randy, knows that he has a zest for life and even though this 6 year battle has been difficult, he has always put himself in the shadows to make others laugh and shine in the limelight.

Many describe Randy as a very giving person. He has literally given the shirt off of his back or given the last dime in is pocket to anyone in need. Randy is loyal, commited, loving, generous and trustworthy. He has such a postive optimistic view of life and this recent news from the doctors has been overwhelming.
