A fire on jan 1st took the life of 7 year old Christopher and left his brother Mathew with 2&3 degree burn on 62% of his body.
On January 1st, David and Nathalia arrived home from work at around 8:30am and found their home engulf in a blazing fire. The fire took the life of their youngest son 7 year old Cristopher Miller, and also leaving their 13 year old Mathew Miller in critical condition with 2nd & 3rd degree burns over 62% of his body as he attempted to save his brother's life.
The boys passion was baseball. Mathew traveled the country playing for various traveling teams. He excelled in 2013 hitting over 70 home runs during the year. He is also an A student and participates in various after school activities such as robotics, school band, guitar class, sports program & ballroom dancing.
Cristopher looked up to his older brother. He was also involved in baseball and was already playing on a traveling team in 2013 at the age of 6. Cristopher was a gifted and talented student and always very a happy young boy.
Due to this tragic fire, the Miller family lost everything in their home. The house is inhabitable and irreparable leaving them without a place to live.
This fund is set up to help them rebuilt, get back on their feet and to offset some of mathews medical bills. He will need several surgeries and his recovery is expected to last several months in the hospital and many more of physical therapy.
We thank you in advance for your generosity and we ask you to continue to pray for Mathews recovery.
There is not a minute of every day that doesn't go by, that we are thinking about Cris. Our hearts are truly broken. We cannot put into words how much we miss him.
