This is the Crystal Williams Hope for Diabetes fund. Any donations will be greatly needed and used for the purpose. Thanks for your time.

Hello Everyone...

My name is Jamie Williams. I am trying to raise money for my wife to help cover her diabetes expenses. I was injured on my job in 2010. I suffered a back injury that has made it very difficult to work. During this time I have worked jobs just to keep the bills paid and food on the table for my family. None of the jobs has offered benefits and we are suffering with medical cost. We cant even receive help from the system that we have paid into for years. Life seems so unfair for people with preexisting conditions and I want to do anything I can for my lovely wife.

My wife was diagnosed with type 1 juvenile diabetes when she was 14 years old. Over the years, her diabetes became uncontrollable. We had to invest in getting her a insulin pump and it has made life a bit easier for her. She went from taking 5-7 needle injections a day to changing infusion sets every 3-4 days. While the pump brought a lot of help, it also brought a lot of expenses for the ongoing use of it. Along with Sciatica and diabetic neurophathy, cost is very high for a family that can not get medical insurance for her condition.

All Doctors appointment are paid by cash and the prescription drugs are paid by cash as well. Cost can be over thousands of dollars a month. I cant understand why our system is not set up to better help people suffering from preexisting conditions.

She is the most insperational person I know. While trying to battle daily with the lows and high blood sugars, she has so many accomplishments. Not only is she a wife and mother of three beautiful children, she has also achieved two degrees.

If you can not give, I would like to say thanks for taking the time out to read our page. I know that other families need help with conditions similar to ours.
