Thank you for your prayers, love, and support for Kody's recovery.

On yesterday, Kody moved to another Rehab facility. Prayerfully, this will be the last facility before he is able to come home.

Kody is truly a testament of what God can do. On September 17th, Kody was admitted to the ICU due to Carbon Dioxide poisoning resulting in Respiratory failure. He was unable to breath on his own. Additionally, since 16 years of age Kody has lived with Muscular Dystrophy- Pompes Disease. As a result of his diagnosed Pompes disease the Doctors felt that a recovery was highly unlikely because his diaphragm was not operating properly. The Doctors suggested to my Mother and I that we begin to make arrangements because medically they did not feel he was going to make it.

Kody spent the next 3.5 weeks on Life Support.

Fortunately, God had other plans for him. He has experienced a long journey that included a tracheotomy along the way but continues to improve daily. Today, he is still in hospital but making incremental steps toward recovery.

Kody has yet to gain independent mobility. The new Rehab facility focus is on aggressive occupational and physical therapy. However, his "recovered" state will be different than prior to this event. He will need assisted living medical care, as well as modifications to his living arrangements to accommodate his restrictive mobility.

Therefore, we are asking donations for extensive renovations that will be needed to his home, along with additional medical expenses beyond what is covered from his medical insurance provider.

We are hopeful and continue to pray for a full recovery.

In the coming months you will see me post details about fundraisers; any assistance you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

All donations will be used for expenses pertaining to Kody's recovery.

We are thankful that God has allowed Kody to be with us longer and are committed to creating an environment as comfortable as possible for him!

Thank you in advance.
