The family and friends of Kaitlin Henise are uniting to raise money to help give her the chance to experience what every woman deserves to!

My daughter is a twenty three year old woman that has always relied on herself. For the first time, she has come to the realization that she needs help. Through out her life she has faced many obstacles, overcame the impossibles and have been blessed with miracles.

At the age of seventeen, she was in college studying Computer Science and Web Design. After only a year of schooling, she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma which is an agressive cancer that originates in your lymphatic system. By the time that is was caught, the cancer had already spread to her nack, chest and lower abdomen. She had to undergo intense chemotherapy for the next year. She lost her hair and the majority of her energy. Seeing your youngest child go through something so traumatic is absolutely unbearable. The only thing that kept me calm was the constant positive attitude that she had and the smile that never faded from her face. After a long journey filled with constant fighting, she was in "remission". Sadly, the oncologist told her that she was no longer capable of getting pregnant.

Only a few months later, she was faced with a new obstacle. Her great niece had been born on December 29th, 2007. She was not blessed with the best of parents. Both were drug addicts, unable to take care of her or themselves. My daughter knew that in order for her to have a good life, she had had to step in. She was positive that this had been why God chose to keep her around, so that she could do something beyond herself. For the next four years, my daughter raised that little girl as if she was her own.

During that period in time, my daughter also met an amazing man and fell in love. He has been by her side constantly pushing her to keep going. He has supported her emotional through the financial toughness of raising a four year old at such a young age, with a low paying job. He has given her strength that she didn't even know she was capable of having.

About two weeks ago, my daughter found out that she is pregnant with twins. After being told that she would never bare children, this came as a big surprise. As she told me the news, I could see how her face lit of up with excitement and enjoyment. A few days later, I noticed that her attitude had changed slightly. She finally explained what thoughts were running through her head. She knows that she will be a fantastic mother because she practically already is. Yet, she is not financially stable enough to raise three children.

I, as a mother, know that giving birth and raising children are two of the best things in life. I want my daughter to be able to experience the same and to be able to embrace this wonderful miracle.

Her life has been a constant rollercoaster, always chaotic - never calm. She has always put other individuals first and herself off to the side. She is selfless and has gone through so many rough situations. She deserves this opportunity.
