Family & friends of Brian Glasser have united to raise money for his excessive medical bills related his recent liver transplant.

Early in the morning on Sunday July 1st, 2012, Brian Glasser received the phone call that he had been waiting 7 months for. An anonymous family had lost a loved one and gave Brian the ultimate gift and a second chance at life. Twelve hours later, Brian’s liver transplant surgery began at The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida, and seven hours after that, the surgeons declared his surgery a success.

In 2003, after graduating college, Brian was diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). His road has been long and difficult, as he also suffers from Crohn's Disease, and Ulcerative Colitis. Despite constant discomfort and sometimes unbearable pain, Brian was never without a smile, or a kind word. He worked until his body wouldn’t let him, doing what he loved as an Intern Architect at Troy Architectural Program, PC, before going out on total disability in January of 2011.

In August of 2010 Brian’s family and friends formed a group called Strength in Numbers (find us on FB) in order to raise money to help Brian with his extensive, out of pocket medical costs. The co-pays, tests, and travel expenses were (and still are) in the thousands per month and not covered by insurance. We have hosted garage sales, bowling events, raffles, home parties, pancake breakfasts, and have been blessed by contributions from strangers that just wanted to help.

As Brian’s journey to health continues, he still needs our help. He must stay in Florida until further notice so that the professionals at The Mayo Clinic can monitor his progress and make sure that he does not experience any complications. After Brian is able to return home to New York, his anti-rejection medications and constant testing will continue to be a financial hardship to his family. He also needs to make some updates to his home in order to make it safe for him, due to his depleted immune system.

Brian and his wife Dana reside in West Sand Lake New York, and they have a 5 year old little girl and a set of 3 year old triplets.

Thank you so much for your continued support and prayers for Brian. It’s amazing and beautiful what people can accomplish for others.

**If you would prefer to donate by check, you may make it payable to Brian Glasser and mail it to Julie Glasser, 12 Merryhill Rd, Wynantskill, NY 12198
