In loving memory of Makenzie Hooke. Please help Makenzie's family with expenses endured during Makenzie's fight against AT/RT.

Meet Makenzie Hooke.  A bright, loving, energetic nine year old who was at times wise beyond her years. Her generosity was unmatched and she was always finding ways to help others.  She saved allowances and gave the money to a women's shelter.  She donated toys to children less fortunate than herself. She wanted to start a donation drive at school for children in Iraq after hearing about the conditions they are in.  She was a joyful child with a beautiful smile and will be missed beyond measure.

January 11th, 2014 brought Makenzie's family and friends together celebrating her recent ninth birthday.  Makenzie was running, laughing and playing amongst hello kitty decorations and singing to one direction.

March 4th brought her family the devastating news that she had been diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor that had seeded in her spine.  An emergency surgery was performed to remove as much of the brain tumor as possible.

March 22nd brought a second surgery to alleviate pressure by placing a permanent shunt in her brain.

The cancer was diagnosed as AT/RT, an aggressive and fast-growing brain cancer that attacks the CNS.  Makenzie endured several weeks of intense treatment out-of-state with her expecting mother by her side every moment and many visits from the closest of family and friends.

June 2nd brought an end to Makenzie's short but fierce fight, at home with her family.  We are continuing this site to help the family cover extensive medical bills. Please forward, post and share this site to spread the word to others. Continue to keep Makenzie and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.
