Skylar Seward's family and friends are uniting to raise money to help with her recovery from a tragic Spinal Cord Injury.
On October 12th, 15 year old Skylars life changed forever. She was a passenger in a horrible car wreck that injured numerous other teenagers. Her injuries were by far the worst, suffering a C6 Spinal Cord injury resulting in paralysis from the chest down. She has already endured a 7 hour surgery and remains in intensive care at Harborview hospital in Seattle. This GiveForward page has been created by friends of hers in Olympia Washington in order to give friends and family a place to post comments of love, support and prayers for a recovery. We are also asking those who feel comfortable to leave a donation that will go towards the medical bills and out-of-pocket costs. Her family is hoping that she will be able to come home in approximately 4-8 weeks. Before she comes home, much must be done to make the home ADA compliant, starting with a complete remodel of the half bathroom. The community is coming together to help make this transformation come true. We can never change what has happened to her, but we can make her life as comfortable as possible with the support of family and friends.
