I have an Immunodeficiency called Common Variable Immunodeficiency Disease from which I have also contracted many medical issues and costs.

It is difficult to have a chronic illness for which there is no cure and that causes so many other complications. I am trying to raise funds to help my husband and I with my medical expenses including my insurance premiums, prescriptions, and needs not covered by insurance. We can't afford to have health ins. coverage for my husband b/c my needs are so costly. I have to infuse Immunoglobulins twice per week in order to put antibodies into my system to fight infections. I have many other illnesses as well. I suffer from chronic pain, Fibromyalgia, Hypothyroidism, Thyroid Nodules, COPD, Asthma, Prednisone Induced Osteoporosis, and many others. My co-pays and premiums take every penny we have and we have the normal houshold expenses as well. We are currently refinancing our home and just found out it appraised for half of what is should due to the economy. I am so depressed, but I know BY the GRACE of GOD I can live. I do not leave my home with the exception of dr. appt. or the hospital for fear of "catching" an illness. My body is like a magnet and I get every illness I am exposed never fails.
Our finances are so limited now that I am on Social Security and Medicare. I have checked on a Suppelemental Insurance Plan, however none of them cover my expensive prescription meds. My husband, Albert, is in construction and with Winter just around the corner, his income will drop to zero for at least four months. I don't know if emotionally I am up to another winter of going without food, water, and central heat. We have done it for 3 years, using bottled water, borrowed food, and a space heater. Winter is a depressing time and God has been good to us, but I am not as young as I used to be and just don't know if I can take another long winter of sickness without proper meds.
I pray daily for God's intervention. Today, I pray for any help I am given and certainly your assistance and donations are so appreciated. I give as often as I can to others. I am a retired on disability Special Education Teacher. I miss my career and my students so very much. The most satisfying time in my life was the giving of myself, my money, my time, and my knowledge to my students. There is nothing better than watching a child finally comprehend something you have been teaching them for several months; watching the "light bulb" go off over there head is like seeing an angel appear! So, as you can see, I have been a giver, never a taker; now, I need help and am asking you to provide your donations and more importantly your prayers that I might live a life without contracting a deadly infection.

Thank you,
Carol Kluender-Keagle
