The Painted Turtle Camp is a life-changing opportunity for children with chronic and life threatening diseases. The cause for speech and hearing compared is contributed to through several methods. These include The Starkey Hearing Foundation, House Ear Institutes, Galludet University which is a school where students that have hearing and speech impairments attend, and Sound Beginnings which allocates funds to parents of newborn babies who did not pass their initial hearing screening tests.
