The family and friends of Joshua Banania are uniting to raise money to help him get his medical equipment not covered by insurance.
Dear Friends and Family,
Peace be with you. Thank you for all the support and prayers that you have given us from day one. We caught up with Joshua before his first operation, he was very scared, but I remember him whispering to Glenna “I want to move my legs”. This is the very hope we have for him and we thank you all for sharing this hope with us and helping us provide him with the opportunity to do so. Nobody is ever prepared for times like this. This life-changing event challenged us in ways we have never imagine. More so for Joshua, whose injury has robbed him of enjoying the prime of his life and of being independent. We have to overcome and adapt every day. It is not smooth sailing as it seems to be but we have to be strong for each other. Despite this, we continue to count our blessings, the most important of which is that Joshua is still with us especially today, his birthday. We are blessed with him before moreover today. That says a lot about Joshua as a son and brother. God is in control and we believe what He has planned for him is good.
As we count our blessings, we cannot help but be thankful for all the love and support we have received from family, friends, acquaintances, friends of family, friends of friends and acquaintances and others whom we have never met. We thank my brother, Ed and his wife Marie, for initiating this fundraiser. Glenna and I did not know what to think about it at first, knowing that everybody is in a tight situation nowadays and just did not want to bother others with our issues especially during the holiday season. We did not know what to expect after getting responses from government disability agencies that they are out of funds and our grant applications being denied. The response to the fundraiser is overwhelming for us that we do not know how to thank you all enough. Thank you for standing by us, for letting us know we are not alone. Thank you for all your kind words, for words of encouragement and hope, most especially for the prayers. All these have strengthened us emotionally and spiritually. From them we draw the strength to move on and the force that sustains Joshua’s fighting spirit. We know deep in our hearts that he will be granted that miracle. As a parent, we tend to be greedy and want everything back, but whatever God gives back to him will be accepted gladly just as long Joshua finds his peace with it. To purchase the equipments on our own, it will take us probably 5-8 years to save for it. Both equipments will be purchased as a result of this fundraiser.
Once again, thank you for all the prayers and for sharing your blessings with us. Please know that we will remember you all in our prayers and ask that He will bless us all abundantly .

POSSIBILITY BECOMING REALITY
November 29th, 2011

The Banania Family is overwhelmed with all the support you all have given them. I talked to Eric a few minutes ago and he is so touched that donations are pouring in from friends and family that we have not been in contact with for a long time. This only proves that friendship knows no time nor distance. That we all come together to support friends in need. So thank you so very much. Some remained anonymous, we thank you.. We've reached 20% of our goal.
Thank you all........

You are the One I turn to for help in moments of weakness and times of need. I ask you to be with your servant in this illness. Psalm 107:20 says that you send out your Word and heal. So then, please send your healing Word to your servant. In the name of Jesus, drive out all infirmity and sickness from his body.
Thank you all for the prayers and support!
November 19th, 2011

We would like to thank all of you that have donated and have continued to pray for Joshua. It's been a bumpy road but with all of your prayers and support, he and his family won't feel so alone. Just to know that we all care will definitely serve as an inspiration for Joshua. The possibility of getting the equipment that he needs will motivate him and create a positive energy of healing. Thank you!
The Possibility is becoming reality.

O holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints, your love for God and Charity for his creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, we implore of you to obtain for us Joshua's full healing and recovery. The aswer to our prayers may require a miracle, even so, you are the Saint of Miracles. Please whisper our petition into the ears of the sweet infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms; and the gratitude of our heart will ever be yours. Be strong Joshua! Have faith and your miracle will be granted.
