Following two brutal world wars, President Dwight D. Eisenhower founded People to People International because he believed that people could "do more to promote peace than our governments". We need to raise funds for our daughters trip.

Our daughter is very talented and gifted . We live in a small Iowa town where the school does not have the resourses to challenge her.She was nominated and then went through an interview process to be selected to be a student ambassador for People to People. (www.peopletopeople.com).

In addition to giving students the confidence and world awareness each program offers academic credit, personal growth, goal-setting opportunities,a world of new experiences through travel and a support network of friends for a life time.

Parents always want their children to excell more in life than they did and this is an experience I would love my daughter to have . Donations would pay for her tuition, airfare, clothing and other items needed for her trip to Canada where they will get to explore a 4,000 year old glacier, sleep in teepees and learn to read totem poles with natives of the area and see how parliament governs. Each year she could have the chance to travel somewhere else. We are a hard working, honest,one income family doing our best without room left over for extras.
