Family and friends are uniting to raise funds to help ease the financial burden of a double-lung transplant. Lani is 35 years old and has been diagnosed with end-stage Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, a disease associated with autoimmune disease which she's had since birth. Hopefully within the next 12 months, she will receive new lungs. She is a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, teacher, and friend, and recently married the love of her life, Dave Martin. They live outside of Nashville, TN, where Lani is a science teacher at McClain Christian Academy High School and Dave is an RMA tech at Griffin Technology. Our prayer is that this lung transplant will enable Dave and Lani to continue their love story and to live a full and happy life together while doing the jobs they love. We don't know what the total expenses will be, but we felt we had to get something started to ease the stress on Lani and Dave so that they can focus all of their energy and strength on winning this battle! The money donated will be used to pay for the medical expenses that will not be covered by insurance and to help with daily living expenses during the time that Lani and Dave will have to live off of one income.
