Cabrini Connections and the Tutor/Mentor Connection need your support this holiday season. Our ability to provide weekly tutoring, learning activities, and tutor/mentor resources depends on donors like you. Hope, Build, Believe, & Achieve! Thank you!

At Cabrini Connections, our mission is to engage workplace adults in structured activities that make a life-changing difference for youth living in economically and educationally disadvantaged neighborhoods. We currently have more than 75 youth in the program who meet weekly with an individual mentor. We have five clubs: art, video, tech, reading, and writing. We have a College Zone which provides application assistance and field trips to local schools such as Northwestern, DePaul, and UIC.

We also run the Tutor/Mentor Connection, a resource network and database for more than 200 tutor/mentor programs in Chicago. Our Program Locator helps parents and volunteers find tutor/mentor programs, while the same GIS mapping technology can also be used by donors, politicians, and people in the media to see which areas are most disadvantaged. Unfortunately, areas with the least number of programs are usually those most effected by poverty, crime, low-performing schools, and other measures.

None of this work at Cabrini Connections or the Tutor/Mentor Connection would be possible without donors like you. We appreciate your consideration this holiday season as we continue to feel the effects of a down economy. Our programs have the strength to perservere and we'll hope that you'll support us. Thank you.
