The family of Debbie D'Amico are uniting to raise money to help with her battle against Melanoma.

Debbie was diagnosed with stage 3c Melanoma in August 2007. It soon traveled to her lymph nodes and after a year of interferon treatment and several surgeries, she went into a brief remission. She developed a second, rare melanoma called mucosal melanoma, in February of 2009 for which surgery was required. We have spent the last 16 months rejoicing each day we have been given with her and are thankful for each clear scans. However, last week we received some devastating news as the cancer has returned yet again. She will undergo surgery on December 16th to remove the newest mass that has again developed in her sinus cavity.
As many of you might know, there is no cure for melanoma and prognosis for what is now stage 4 is not good. However, we remain hopeful that she will beat the odds, and grateful for each day we are given.
Debbie is the wife and mother of 3 great kids. She is not able to work due to the frequency of recurrances and treatment needed to fight this. Her husband, John, is an independant contractor who is dependant on the weather for his job of building in the summer months and plowing in the winter months. Their private insurance plan is very expensive and covers very little, especially the high tech scans and tests needed to keep on top of this disease. This 3 year battle has drained their family both mentally and financially. Deb is in the battle of her life right now and the mounting medical bills are a worry we would like to take away from her. We can't change this disease, but we can change how they fight it! Thank you all for your donations, support and most importantly prayers. We do believe in miracles and we pray for one each day.
God Bless you.
