The family & friends of Brita Corradini are uniting to raise money to help with her battle against breast cancer. Please show your support!
Your 30’s are meant to be the decade that life starts to fall into place. It certainly started that way for Brita Corradini. She was a mother to a fantastically hilarious 13-month-old little girl and 6 months pregnant with baby number two. She had just landed her dream job of being a pastry chef, and with her husband working as a musician, money was tight but they had found what made them happy. However, a week after her 31st birthday, she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. What started out as a scary diagnosis of breast cancer, snowballed into an overwhelming insurance deductible and taking at least one year off from work. Brita will need to do 3 months of chemotherapy while still pregnant. She will end 3 weeks before her due date and then start another 3 months of chemotherapy after the birth. She will then need to get either a lumpectomy or mastectomy surgery. After surgery, she may need to do radiation.
Brita is a strong, vibrant, positive mama, but the road ahead will have its definite hurdles for the whole family. We humbly ask for your prayers and financial contributions to support the Corradini family in their time of great need as they confront the financial and emotional burdens of cancer treatments and the next chapter in their lives. Any funds graciously donated will go towards their steep deductible and any residuals will help to alleviate basic living costs; making it possible for Brita to stay at home and get some much needed rest during this difficult process.

We are thrilled to announce that the Corradinis welcomed a beautiful and healthy baby girl to their family, Ruby Evangeline Corradini, on October 29th at 9:40pm. Ruby weighed in at 7lbs, 12oz and is resting peacefully at home with mom who is doing great.

Round Three Complete!

As the time draws near for the newest member of the Corradini family to arrive, we wanted to give you all a quick update on how Brita is doing. She has successfully completed three rounds of Chemotherapy, and besides the expected effects of that combined with pregnancy, she and baby #2 are doing great. Treatment will not start up again until a month after the baby is born (Nov. 4rth due date), giving Brita and family a much needed break.
Once again, our deepest gratitude goes out to all of you that have donated and our next update will surely involve an announcement of the much anticipated arrival of this special little baby whose sex still remains a mystery!

Round One Down!

First of all, on behalf of the entire Corradini clan, I would like to express our sincere gratitude for your generous donations. I know that they are touched by the outpouring of love and encouragement for their family. We feel very inspired by what Team Brita has been able to raise thus far and every little bit has made the difference!
Last week Brita went in for surgery to get a port installed into the left side of her chest and started her first round of chemotherapy. She opted to shave her head in lieu of watching her hair fall out slowly, and has made a nice little donation to locks of love. Those who know Brita know that she can rock this look no problem!
Besides the expected exhaustion, mama and baby are doing well.
