The Issue

Some of the highest STI and teen pregnancy rates occur in the San Gabriel Valley. In the U.S. more than 700,000 teenagers will become pregnant this year, and half of all sexually active people will have an STI by age 25. It’s clear that teens aren’t getting the information and skills they need to make wise decisions and stay healthy.

The Solution

Help the education experts at Planned Parenthood bring comprehensive, medically accurate, age-appropriate sex education back to our local schools and community organizations.

Recently, a handful of locals started the Virtual Wine Parties to raise funds for health education programs in the San Gabriel Valley. Through GiveForward.org, we have designated Planned Parenthood Pasadena & San Gabriel Valley as the beneficiary of funds raised by our Virtual Wine Parties. By encouraging friends and family to extend our message of “real sex ed” to anybody and anywhere imaginable, we can help reverse the lack of comprehensive sex education in our community.
